    Telangana was the first Indian state to offer 100% road-tax exemption on EVs and remains one of the most incentive-friendly for charging infrastructure. Two DISCOMs operate: TGSPDCL in the southern region including Hyderabad, and TGNPDCL in the north including Warangal. Tariff is set by TSERC.

    In Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts, TGSPDCL is your DISCOM. In Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad and Khammam districts, TGNPDCL is the utility. Both follow the same TSERC tariff order and the same approval workflow via the TGSPDCL consumer portals.
    Telangana has one of the faster approval workflows in India — typically 25–45 working days: 3–5 days for online application, 5–10 days for AE/AEE feasibility, 10–20 days for civil + cable work, 5–7 days for CEIG-Telangana inspection, and 3–5 days for meter release.
    TSERC has notified a dedicated EV tariff at approximately ₹6.70 per kWh for LT public charging and about ₹6.10 per kWh for HT, both single-part with no demand charge for connected load up to 150 kW. Rates are reviewed each financial year; confirm the latest TSERC order before quoting.

    Aadhaar/PAN of applicant, GST certificate, ownership/lease with owner NOC, site layout, single-line diagram signed by an ELC-licensed contractor, CEIG safety certificate for installations at 25 kW and above, and structural stability certificate for canopies.
    CEIG (Chief Electrical Inspectorate, Telangana) inspection is mandatory for every installation above 250V and above 25 kW. Below 25 kW, a Class-A licensed contractor's test report is accepted. Inspection fee is charged per kVA and is one-time.
    A Mini Hub is ₹15–20 lakh turnkey in Hyderabad, and ₹13–17 lakh in Warangal and other tier-2 cities. With 25% state subsidy plus 100% SGST reimbursement, effective outlay drops by ~35%, typically achieving 20–26 month payback at 45% utilisation.
